About CVN

Who we are: Catholic Volunteer Network, established in 1963, is an independent, nonprofit affiliate of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops with over 200 domestic and international volunteer and lay mission programs. Currently, more than 18,000 volunteers and lay missioners serve in these programs throughout the U.S. and in over 100 other countries.

What we do: The Catholic Volunteer Network publishes and distributes RESPONSE, the most comprehensive handbook of lay mission volunteer opportunities. The RESPONSE directory is distributed free of charge to persons interested in faith-based service and those who promote such service. We also provide our member programs with recruitment services, training and technical assistance resources including our National Conference, Formation Workshops, Webinar Series and our web based Resource Library.

Catholic Volunteer Network also administers the From Service to Sisterhood program, exploring the connections between volunteer service and vocations to religious life.
